How will MSD decide on the best solutions?
There are several factors that MSD and the public will consider when evaluating possible overflow solutions. The District will consider the following evaluative factors for each solution: - Environmental benefits;
- Social benefits;
- Construction and maintenance impacts; and
- Community costs.
MSD will analyze these factors, examine regulatory requirements, and review input from its technical experts and the public to determine the most cost effective and environmentally sound alternatives for our region. For each control, MSD will evaluate and balance the costs and benefits.
